Hello all
I bought Clive Dunns book in a charity shop and it looks like its signed on the 2nd page..... headed up 'Permission to Laugh' and theres a signature in the blank space underneath.
Its hard to tell if the signature is real or printed.
Did the book have a printed signature on this page? Its the 1st edition + I don't know if I'll see another one to compare it to.
Any help would be most appreciated
Many thanks

My copy, 1st edition hardback, 1996 is not signed on the page you describe.
On page 9 is a printed image "yours Clive" which you might be able to compare with the signature.
I'd say it's a true signed copy. These days however, authors are made to sign book after book for several days; Waterstones even have a special "Signed by the author" sticker that they use.
So I wouldn't say it had verymuch extra value, except to fans like us of course. Nice find. _________________ -- hodders
