This was shown on UK TV the other week (BBC1 ?) but I missed it. Usually a fascinating look at how one comedy series leads to another or has its roots in another show. Dad's Army must have been mentioned in this edition - what was said, did anyone see it? _________________ -- hodders
I liked 'It Ain't Arf Hot Mum' as well. A lot of the outside shots were again filmed in Norfolk, but this time at a village called Leziate, near Kings Lynn. In some respects this was fortunate for one or two members of the cast and especially Christopher - Private Perkins - Mitchell, because at the time, he lived not too far from Kings Lynn. Not only did I meet him, but his father Norman, was also an actor and they came to my last wedding reception in the evening. Sadly Christopher was taken ill and died a few years back and about a year later, Norman died as well, so they are now in that 'big studio in the sky' as we say.
