Went to my 3rd Dads Army day in a row today in Bressingham and despite the bad weather there was still a pretty good turnout of people to see the cast & crew who would be appearing this year.

Jimmy Perry, David Croft, Bill Pertwee, Frank Williams, Eric Longworth & Pamela Cundell all turned up for the event and were happy to sign books, pictures & whatever else you could throw at them, and were also happy to have a chat with you about the show, during which David Croft mentioned his favourite episode was 'Mums Army'. I managed to get everyones autograph again over the course of the day. Also looked round the Dads Army exhibition which had various props, costumes etc from It Aint Half Hot Mum & Only Fools & Horses as well as the usual Dads Army things. Also you could print your own ration book & listen to the brass band playing.

Overall it was a pretty good day, despite the weather and look forward to going again next year

Below are a few of the many pictures that I managed to get around the place today, hope you like:

I seriously thought of those attending this event today. Can you tell me, did the 'Battle of Britain' flight do a flypast please? The reason being, I was unwell early today and so stayed in bed for a good while and heard very much what sounded like it going over, but unable to see them.

Thanks for the photos Ian. Very nice to see Frank Williams (the vicar) and Pamela Cundell (Mrs Fox) looking so well after all this time, and of course Hodges.

If anybody is interested and can get there on Bank Holiday Monday, there is to be a 'Dad's Army' function being held at Gessenhall in Norfolk, with the BBMF due to do a fly-past about 4.0.p.m. according to the local paper, the Eastern Daily Press. I will be attending another function with friends where I live, but in the flight path for the BBMF, so will ook out for them and salute them if they pass.

Wonderful photos, thanks so much! One day when I'm rich enough to take time off work I'll get down for an event.
