Hi everyone
There's a new 'favourite character' poll on the Podcast's blog. There have already been around 20 votes so take a look to see which character appears to be the most popular. You don't have to register any details - simply go to the Blog's website and cast your vote at www.dadsarmypodcast.blogspot.com
Just a quick note to say that this poll is closing at the end of the month. At the time of typing, we have had 72 votes - which is a pretty good number. The scores are so far are;
Who is your favourite regular Dad's Army character?
George Mainwaring 18 (25%)
Arthur Wilson 13 (18%)
Jack Jones 5 (6%)
James Frazer 8 (11%)
Frank Pike 2 (2%)
Joe Walker 24 (33%)
Charles Godfrey 2 (2%)
I'm really suprised at the low number of votes Pike and Frazer have!!
If you have yet to cast your vote then head over to www.dadsarmypodcast.blogspot.com - no need to register, just chcek the box next to your choice.
The reulsts are finally in.... 85 votes in the end which isn't bad I guess.
Joe Walker 34%
George Mainwarig 26%
Arthur Wilson 16%
James Frazer 12%
Jack Jones 7%
Charles Godfey 2%
Frank Pike 2%
(Percentages above have been rounded up, hence minor variations to the percentages on the blog).
I am really surprised that Walker came out head and shoulders above Mainwaring. Pike is usually a common favourite so his joint-last place also surprised me!
Look out for a new poll on the blog asking you to vote for your favourite non-regular character. _________________ The Dad's Army podcast - a fortnightly downloadable radio show about Dad's Army www.dadsarmy.podomatic.com

Just been on and accoring to the site that particular poll is still going, as well as another one for people favourite non-regular chacter, so I voted for Wilson for fav main character and Mrs Pike as fav non regular
I re-opened the poll a couple of weeks ago as I thought it would good to keep it as an ongoing survey. The results I published were for the first six weeks from which 85 fans cast their vote.
