Well what can I say. I'm a 40 something fan of Dad's Army. I've loved the show since, well, forever really. My wife bought me the box set for our anniversary. She now has to sit through it with me. Being an American she doesn't get much of it but I do occassionally catch her laughing.

Apart from Dad's Army I'm a huge fan of British humour through the years; PG Wodehouse being a particular favourite (hence the user ID)

Hello to you all.

Hmmmm, interesting.  I'm American born and raised (and still living here), and I found DA one of the easiest of all the British sitcoms I've seen to "get" -- to immediately understand, appreciate, and enjoy.  I was in love with the show after watching only one episode.

In any case, welcome to the forum.
