Just a quick note to say that I now have a few pictures of the location tour orgainsed by the Appreciation Society last Saturday up on the blog - www.dadsarmypodcast.blogspot.com

I made several recordings during the tour including chats with Frank Williams and Harold Snoad at various locations - they'll be available on episode 21 of the Dad's Army podcast due for release over the next few days - www.dadsarmy.podomatic.com

Regards,

James

A bit belated I know, but I would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who was involved in organising the tour.  This was my first time & not sure what to expect but I had a marvellous day, everything from the bus (so apt, if only you could have seen the expression on some of the locals faces!) the briefing at STANTA, the sites themselves & the opportunity to walk & listen to Frank was just priceless!  Nice little touch at the end with the visit to the museum, I think Frank’s visit really made the day & the museum staff were so proud.  I do hope the tour will be repeated next year?

The locations tour has been organised and consisently well attended for at least the past two years.  I would imagine that if the demand is there, and DAAS are willing and able, that there will be another in the future.

The recordings I made during the tour are now online at www.dadsarmy.podomatic.com - so depending on how loud you were, you may be able to hear yourself!  You should have said hello....!
