Quite simply... RIP Wendy Richards and thanks for your contribution to British acting...

"My dad's six foot so don't you go getting any funny ideas"
"We don't need that class of girl here!"

Yes,

I just read about the sad passing of Wendy Richard.

Quite a shock. I had no idea she had been so unwell of late.

RIP Wendy.

RIP Wendy. It will be a LONG time yet before you are forgotten.

Very sad to read the news. I was over at a friend's house the other day when he mentioned hearing about it on the news. I did know she wasn't too well a couple of years ago, but thought she'd overcome her illness once again.

One thing that bugs me is the number of people that succeed in spelling her name wrong: it was indeed Wendy Richard, not Richards as is so often seen. I've always wondered what she thought of that.

RIP Wendy. We'll never forget you, nor will we forget about Edith and Shirley.

It probably bugged her as well -- judging from the fact that when she wrote her autobiography, she titled it "No S."

My surname has just one s on and many people spell it with 2, even after spelling it out to them.
