Since I closed my Whispers From Walmington Dad's Army site last year it seems that a lot of people have missed it!  Even now I am getting messages on totally unrelated forum about the site with many people asking if I could make it available in some way.

Well, when I close the site down it was the right thing for me to do at the time due to personal circumstances. However, things have moved in my life and I am going to be able to give my two forum (this one and my Airfix one) more attention.  Over the weekend I was talking to a friend about Whispers and I have decided that I may well resurrect the site again in a few months time (August).  It will need updating and given a makeover and I will probably have to ask for donations to help keep it running (I never did before).  It will also depend on the feedback I get  between now and August.  So, if you want to see it back, then make your feeling known here and cast your vote!

Dave

Go for it!  40th Anniversary etc.  Perhaps you could rattle a tin or even sell some "Whispers" merchandise at the forthcoming Bressingham/Thetford events to raise the necessary spondoolies?

I think that's great, it was an excellent site, I really hope you do decide to put it back up.  I might consider donating myself as I have done before on another site.

Hi Dave

Just wondered if there had been any progress on this?!

Hi James,

The site is being uploaded right now but needs some work before I can call it "Live".  Eventually, you will be able to access the site via the http://www.whispersfromwalmington.com address but an alternative address that can be used is http://www.davecov.co.uk/whispersfromwalmington/index.htm although the site is bit of a mess and incomplete right now!

Oh wow, I hadn't noticed your reply here but I just got back onto the site from Google (I searched for "Timothy Farthing"!) - so pleased to see the site coming back!
