Welcome to the Whispers From Walmington Forum.
By signing up to these forum, you will not use the forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of any law.
If it is felt that a posted message is objectionable, then report the matter to me, the site owner.
Text Speak
Do not use Text Speak on this forum. It is not necessary and can be hard for some people to understand. So, please make posts in good, clear English.
Topics And Forums
Please try to make an effort to post your messages to the correct forum. Message in the wrong forum will be moved, or deleted. Also, cross-posts will be deleted too.
When you have made your post, please wait patiently for a reply. Remember that people do not sit at their PC's twenty-four hours a day waiting to answer posts. It is also bad form to follow-up your own posts asking why no one has answered yet.
Deleting Your Posts
This forum allows the deletion of posts. However, this facility can lead to problems with disjointed threads and the facility may be removed in due course.
Copyright
If you own the copyright of material then you can post it.
If you have permission to post material for which you do not own the copyright, then you can also post it.
If you do not have permission, then do not post the material until permission is granted from the copyright holder to use it.
Material which are regarded as public domain (i.e. copyright has expired or has been removed) can also be posted. BTW, a picture found on the Internet does not make it public domain.
Prohibited Conduct
Violation of these rules is grounds can lead to temporary suspension or banning permanently - without warning!
No profanity in subject lines, posts, signatures or avatars. This includes thinly veiled attempts to defeat the word filters by using asterisks or other characters to replace letters in profane, obscene, or vulgar words.
No posting of pornographic or objectionable material in your posts, avatar or signature.
No spamming.
No flaming of other members to incite or perpetuate an argument. Personal attacks or name-calling is not permitted. As this is an Airfix Tribute site, I will not tolerate the sort of anti-Airfix sniping and insults that has existed elsewhere. Some members have signed up here specifically to avoid such behaviour and so it is not welcome.
Do not impersonate other individuals or falsely represent yourself. Also, please do not create multiple accounts. If you have problems logging-on, then contact Admin staff.
Do not post on behalf of a banned member and do not discuss banned members. Any person who does so, or makes posts petitioning for the re-instatement of a banned member will be suspended. If someone has been banned, there is a reason for it and the board owner's decision is final.
Do not post personal information about yourself or others (i.e. addresses, phone numbers, passwords, etc.).
Any messages found to be in violation may be deleted without warning or explanation. I reserve the right to ban any user, at any time, and for any reason. The rules of conduct also apply to any private messages or e-mails sent through the forum's software.
Political/Racist/Sexist/Religious Posts
I will immediately delete such posts or entire threads which degenerate into such debates.
Banners, Signatures and Avatars
No pictures or banners are to be used in signatures. Avatars should be no bigger that 80x80 pixels in dimension.
E-Mail Account
You must have a valid e-mail account in your profile so a forum administrator can reach you. If you cannot be reached by email, you may be banned without notice. The forum system uses a robot to scan email addresses on a regular basis and failures are reported to me. This is not my doing but a part of the admin system.
You will only receive important Site Administration emails if you sign up to them via the Usergroups link. These emails include Site maintenance periods which may require temporarily denying members access. Unsubscribing does not prevent system emails, "watched topic" posts or emails from other members.
