It might interest some of you that Arthur Lowe bought and lived in my uncle Raymond's house, Knock in Kent where I spent a few happy family Christmases - not a lot of people know that. Incidentally my uncle was a writer but he wrote factual articles on gardening as well as books, his second wife, my aunty Cynthia illustrated them. Also he found the Gardening History Society.
