Best episode of all time is ... Sgt Wilsons little secretOK, OK I know similar threads have been done, but last night, watching the complete set for the second time, I was struck by "Sgt Wilsons Little Secret" - it has everything.
1) fantastic camouflage lecture from Cpt Mainwaring (still in Forage cap in season 2) with Godfrey's wonderfully improvised outfit and Frazers snowman winter camo
2) Lots of JLM looking bewildered and worried as he misunderstands why they will have a new arrival in the family.
3) The improvised weapons talk with Frazers dinner plate land mines.
3) A wonderful scene where Mainwaring virtually orders Wilson to do the decent thing
4) Some great comic moments with Mrs Pike
5) a nice scene where Walker stumbles upon Wilson talking to Mavis through the letter box and promises not to tell .
6) Mavis's rapid unlocking of the door when Wilson proposes through the letter box.
the only negative thing is that we are left to believe they didn't get married after all, which is rather sad.
