Just to let you all know that yesterday saw the launch of a new Dad's Army Podcast.
Its a periodic rambling about Dad's Army in general, and will centre on pertinent news, events and other current DA topics. It also features a discussion about one episode of Dad's Army each podcast - the first of which is Ring Dem Bells. We also discuss how we felt this years Dad's Army Day went at Bressingham.
The Link is http://dadsarmy.podomatic.com/ or, as from the middle of next week, you should be able to download via iTunes, completely free of charge. Please feel free to get in touch concerning any of its content - the e-mail address is walmingtononsea333@yahoo.co.uk
Hope you enjoy the podcast, and thank you for reading.

Episode 2 Podcast - call for comments!
Episode 2 of the new Dad's Army Podcast should be ready for download this coming weekend (3nd June). Tony and I will be discussing the series 3 episode, Room at the Bottom.
We'd be really grateful for your comments on this episode, and we may read them and dicuss them on air. No comment is too short, too long, too in-depth or too shallow!! You could include your thoughts on how the platoon responsed to Mainwaring no longer being in charge, Arthur Lowe's portrayal of an embarrassed officer, Wilson's reaction to Mainwaring's sudden demotion - or any other aspect of the story - what made you laugh the most?!
Enjoying the podcasts so far, listened to the first two. Perhaps it would be good to get an interview with a star of the show. I assume people such as Eric Longworth and Bill Pertwee would be happy to chat about their experiences on the show.

Hi there
Yes, interviews with the cast is something we would love to bring onto the Podcasts. We will have to see how the podcast develops. If we do manage it then it would be great to put listeners questions to the actors.
One piece of news you may be interested in - we have just recorded an interview with Ed O'Driscoll - not a cast member, but the producer of the new Dad's Army stage play in which he gives us exclusive casting news for the roles of Wilson, Jones and Godfrey. The interview shouldl be available for download by the weekend.
Glad you are enjoying the podcasts.

Dad's Army Podcast
A couple of days ago I had a business trip over to Norwich and thought the time was right to listen to a few podcasts on my iPod. So I've listened to several rather dull IT-related ones, and I'm well into Norfolk, just coming up to Elveden and the heathland there and the large memorial tower thingy and the WWII pillbox.
And I'm driving across the heathland with the iPod on random, and suddenly the "Who Do You Think..." theme tune comes on to announce the start of the Dad's Army podcast... Perfect.
I almost saw the smoke explosions and the platoon advancing over the heathland.
