My dad's bookHello all,
Although the following isn't related directly to Dad's Army I'm sure forum members would have an interest.
My dad, 93 in three weeks, was a "Tail-End Charlie" rear gunner with 156 Lancaster Pathfinder Squadron, and also, before and after the war worked in cinemas, largely as a manager. He has written a book called "Up In The Gods" which contains his wartime and showtime memories and would appeal to anyone with an interest in WWII and showbusiness reminiscences. You can preview the book here:

Price £7.95 plus P&P - you can buy copies through this link, however if you drop me a line (jezconolly@hotmail.com) I will be able to sell copies to you without the additional postage costs.
While I'm at it, my own book may be of interest to some of you:
Beached Margin: The Role and Representation of the Seaside Resort in British Films
Beached Margin investigates the exploitation of the British seaside holiday resort as a setting for film productions, examining the reasons why this environment has appealed to filmmakers and what particular qualities and characteristics specific to seaside spaces lend themselves to cinema.

Best wishes,
