Hmm yes, all this appears very confusing - however, I have a theory! And it is just that, a theory, so I could be wrong. There is a box set of all the Dad's Army series, plus all three Christmas Specials being released on 29th October. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dads-Army...F8&qid=1187877893&sr=1-15 The Christmas Specials also get an individual release a couple of weeks later on the 12th November - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dads-Army...dvd&qid=1188679625&sr=8-1 The BBFC passed all of the extras you mention in your post under the collective title 'Dads Army - Resisting the Agressor Down the Ages' which sparked speculation that there would be a brand new DVD, perhaps to celebrate the 40th Anniversary next year. I suspect that the additional features will be included on either the special disc the in the Box Set, or as part of the special features on the Christmas Specials solo release. Just speculation you understand. As far as I am aware, nothing has been confirmed by the Beeb. Reading the page at the BBCshop it does seem that the 90 minutes refers to the 3 episodes (each of 30 minutes) and the second disc would have all the bonus features on.
Again though, this is all guess work, so we'll have to wait and see! Fundy |

I think this is unlikely - My Brother and I was 40 minutes long, Battle of the Giants a massive 60 minutes and The Love of three Oranges being the only Christmas special lasting just 30 minutes. |

That's true, I'd forgotten about "Battle..." being an hour long.
Oh well, whatever happens I'm looking forward to owning the specials DVD. I've only seen Battle... about 3 times in my life (and twice it was when I was a teenager) so to complete the set and have those extras aswell is gonna be great! Fundy |
