Yeah, this is without doubt my favourite extra on the Christmas Specials DVD - I had never seen it before (except for the final couple of seconds), so was pleasantly surprised. You wouldn't think that Arthur Lowe had such a good singing voice, but he's really good. The 'Bren Gun' song is very appropriate for Dad's Army, especially the first season. Makes one wonder why they never used it as background music. |
