Ignoring the black & white episodes which are never re-shown, have some episodes been shown less often or have I just been unlucky ? Over they years , when shown on TV I often see the same episodes, while others seem rarely shown 2 examples for me were "Fallen Idol" and "Sgt - Save my Boy". I don't recall seeing either before getting the DVD's, but was that down to bad luck on my part ?

The least seen episode (apart from the wiped ones) is probably Absent Friends from series 4 as much of the plot centres around a pair of IRA terrorists. It was shown not that long ago, and is rather good, but it would have been very sensitive back in the early 1970s. _________________ -- hodders |

Yes - I can see that episode causing some sensitivity, though oddly, I have seen it on TV before as I recalled the pay-off with Sgt. Wilson demonstrating his Marquis of Queensbury skills _________________ "just you, me and a toasted cheese supper" |

There are a few from series 3 to 5 ( I haven't worked through 6 to 9 yet) that didn't seem familiar from TV. Two that stand out are If the cap fits and A brush with the law, because they're not what I'd call "day to day" episodes - they have very memorable storylines. I'm pretty sure I've never seen either of them before.
I wonder if there is any record of broadcasts for DA episodes (aside from the BBC's) compiled by fans. Even that might be incomplete, as I think I'm right in saying that BBC 2 bungs the odd unscheduled episode on from time to time. Like if the snooker finishes early or the cricket is rained off.
