Hi Dave

Hope you're well - if we manage to get along to one of the stage shows we should perhaps try giving Mr Geraghty a call - see if he's still alive! I could also invite Colin from Thetford - the bloke my Mum asked to 'look after' me and you/Mike saved me from!

Anyway, got a slight suggestion and I'm sure a man with your technical expertise may have an idea.

When I come on the forum I tend to scan the page for recent dates i.e. someone has posted something recently. Is there a way you could add in a flashing banner (or icon of some sort) that says 'New' when someone has posted an item since your last visit? I've see it on a fair few sites in the past and if it's a cheap/quick/easy thing to do it might be a nice touch.

Anyway, speak to you soon

Will

Hi Will,

Such a system is in place but you need to sign in for it to work.

If there are any new post in a forum then the little white icon next to it changes to a sort of dirty orange colour.

It does on mine anyway!

Hi Will,

As Dave says, there are icons that change to an orange colour to tell you which items you haven't read. There is also a "View posts since last visit" link which will list all those posted since the last time you logon.

Dave
